John Medaris was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. He attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and graduated with a BS in Finance. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1988 with a national insurance company. His entrepreneurial spirit then led him to help build a consulting company that worked exclusively with financial planners across the United States. In 1997, he sold his interest in this company and co-founded a new firm, devoting his energy and experience to the personal financial needs of his clients. In 2003, he became the sole owner of the firm which he renamed Medaris Financial Management in 2007. John is a FINRA Series 24 Registered Principal and Investment Advisor Representative of Cambridge Investment Research, and holds a FINRA Series 6, 7, and 63 securities license thru Cambridge Investment Research as well. He completed his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1995 and his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 1996. John resides in Zionsville, IN with his wife and two daughters.
